We were notified on September 7, 2026 (today) that the Energy Market Regulatory Authority ("EMRA") decided - via Board Decision No. 14842-11 dated September 3, 2026 - to grant a generation license (License No. EÜ/14842-11/06801) with a term of 49 (forty-nine) years for the Gelinkaya Solar Power Plant (SPP) project with storage, which has an installed capacity of 35.75 MWm/30 MWe and is planned to be established in the Aşkale district of Erzurum province by Akfen Elektrik Enerjisi Toptan Satış A.Ş., a wholly-owned subsidiary of our company.
Thus, the generation license has been obtained for the first project within the scope of our second-phase investments - comprising six Electricity Storage Facility projects (utilizing solar and wind power) with a total installed capacity of 310 MW—as outlined in the investor presentation regarding future projections that we disclosed on the Public Disclosure Platform on May 13, 2026. Meanwhile, the permitting processes for the other projects, as well as the technical and financial studies related to the investments, are ongoing.
It is targeted that our Company's total installed capacity, currently at 887 MW, will rise to approximately 1,200 MW by the end of 2028, upon the completion of our second-phase investments.
